headlights not coming on?

   Hey guys, basically the headlights on my 1.1 won't come in, all other lights so work and when you pull back on the stalk the highbeams and the dash light come on. But when you use the switch to bring the dipped and main lights on nothing happens not even a light on the dash and the back lights for the dails don't come on either. Think it might be the stalk that's at fault but anyone else had this or know how to fix it?
