This has been covered a million times I know the issue and have bodged it up but my questions I can't seem to find answers to
Basically I was on track at Lydden and lost all gears, gearstick went floppy and only had 3rd. Limped it back to the paddock and found that the roll pin has come out the selector arm. Popped a M6 nut and bolt through it and now it drives fine just a bitch to get into 1st and has a lot of wobble even when In gear. As the pin fell out I imagine there is a lot of wear on the arm, I've read about getting a new pin but this will probably have the same issue and fall out again, I've also read that you can drill the arm to 8mm and put an M8 through it, can this be done on the car, what is the bit that elongates is it the arm itself or will it be also the shaft that is attached to the box? Would I be able to buy a new arm and split pin and it would resolve the issue or is it best to drill 8mm hole through the selector arm and the part attached to the box? Thank you... Kept missing gears on track because of this
