MA gearbox

    Hi!
Does anyone know witch type of PSA cars are equipped with this 'MA' transmission? I tried to find some info but I didn't succeed.

I would like to buy an NFU engine into my saxo VTR but the flywheel is different on MA and BE gearbox so I need an engine with MA type

    Thank Y in adcance!

Most cars with the TU family of engine are MA gearbox, including your VTR. Picasso 1.6 Petrol and Berlingo/Partner vans are the exception because they have the BE gearbox fitted because it is heavier duty.

If you buy an NFU from a C2, C3 etc with the MA gearbox you don't need to change the flywheel. If you buy one from a Picasso/Berlingo just fit your Saxo flywheel to the NFU engine. 206 Peugeot also uses MA gearbox.

Other things you need to consider are the engine mount at the timing belt end of the engine is different between the NFX (saxo VTS) and NFU. The inlet manifold is also different, but it's not difficult to make it fit.
