Important! : Saxo 1.1 year 00 high fuel consumption problem

   Hello i need some help my saxo 1.1 monopoint engine fuel consumption is high
   I drove about 120km with 500rs unleaded fuel my country currency is rs( roupees )
   1L =38.85rs
   1$=36rs
   1€=40rs
   1£=50rs
   any help to decrease it
   What can cause it to consum?
   My lambda sensor is good

   Catalytic converter,how old is the fuel filter?

   can you tell us how many km,s per litre of fuel?
   or miles per gallon
   
   i work that out as 28.3mpg --which is very poor --must be black smoke?--poor performance ?
   firt thing to chack --is the engine running at correct temp --not too cold -so choke is on all the time ---if you want to guess rather than getting things checked --go for water temp sensor --+ fit new thermostat in engine
