saxo miles

   hi everyone
   i have a saxo 1.4 desire and the car dont do enough miles compared to how much it was doing when i got it, as when i first had it it was doing 100 and more miles on a tenner (at that time petrol was 98.9p a litre) and also at that time it did need a service as engine oil was low so, then my mate had the car for a while and he said he had it serviced since that i have been using the car and didnt really check miles as the petrol needle isnt working properly but i did drive the car until petrol ran out and i got 85.9 miles, but normally i get about 65 to 70 miles now im sure a 1.4 should be doing more than at espically when the fuel is only at 88.9p a litre now
   
   so i was wondering is it something to do with the service like engine oil some cheap stuff or anything like that any advice would help ?

   mine recently did 200 miles on half a tank so thats prob about right

   i got 110 miles to a tenner the other night which i am very happy about
   
   could be spark plugs gaped incorectley

   has your driving style changed or have you started going round town more than more open roads?

   i do a lot of standard rd driving sometimes use expressways and stuff but not motorways that much

   Remember a modded car wont do as many miles as a standard

   petrol is 10p cheaper per litre now rather than 2 weeks a go!!

    yeh thats what i mean as when it was at 98.9p i was getting 100 miles on a tenner now when its at 88.9p im getting 65 ish miles dont make sense

    the most ive ever had out of a full tank in my vts is just over 300 miles.
