Rear light wiring

  1. #1
Recently bought my Saxo and just noticed one of my rear brake light was out and just changed the bulb but it still didn't light up. I presumed it must be something with the fuses then but the previous owner fitted after market rear light fittings. Decided to check the wiring on just behind the fitting and found that each side is different. Does anyone know is the wiring is the issue or do I look into fuses?

The first picture is of the broken side.

Just had a look at the rest of the lights. Both the front position lamps are out, the offside rear position lamp, and the nearside side indicator isn't working. I had a spare front position bulb and replaced that but that also didn't work once replaced. I did find a bunch of cut wires as well. Not sure if they would have anything to do with the issues.

position lamps? Just check the fuses in the engine bay fuse box, which is the larger fuse box on the passenger side of the bay, check to see if any of the fuses have blown, you will be able to see if they have as most of them have see through fuse casings, if you look on google images there is a fuse diagram that shows which fuse serves the lights on the car etc. does sounds like a fuse aswell as your having multiple problems at once rather than localised ones....
