hi, its my first time owning a saxo, how much water does the radiator hold? its a 1.1 saxo, wanting to know this so i know how much antifreeze to use, also does anyone know what problem my car may have, when its on tick over the revs fluttering every now and then ive been told this could be some sort of vacuum seal problem? where would i be best looking first to solve this?, Thanks.

#2Hello mate welcome to the club! And usually you fill it to around half full to allow for expansion when the water heats up, there should be a fill level mark on the side of it somewhere if you have a look... And as for your irraticly idling at tick over I would put money on it being the idle control valve, very common thing to happen on saxos, there's a guide on here somewhere in the FAQs that shows you how to remove throttle body and clean the idle control valve
hope this helps you

#3i had a look at the water level on the side and i can see a line but it says "MIN" there, so im assuming that wont be it and it will have to be alot higher than that right?, and ah thats great, ive got my hands free tomorrow so ill have a good look into getting that done then, thanks for the welcome and reply, been a great help

#4Any luck mate? And if it were me I would just fill it slightly higher than min with the water your using then fill up a little bit with anti-freeze
jobs a Gooden! And as far as the icv or idle control valve goes it's not really that hard to do yourself as long as you have a good mechanical attitude about you and you just stick to it

#5All done yea mate, done a few things, topped the oil up, sorted the revs out, and sorted some messy parts out in the engine bay, the parts around the struts were slightly rusted so got them all cleaned up and sprayed, they came up great, the car is posi blue, ive tooke the citroen and saxo badge of the boot, had them painted black and put back on, the boot bar around the boot lock was originally black, ive now had that painted the same colour as the car, all looks clean now, will look into uploading photos soon, the one problem I am have is the handbrake aint to good and upon removing the back wheels the bolts come out but just cant budge them wheels off, they spin freely but wont come off lol, going to get a hot spanner on them later in the week
