Alternator connector help needed

  1. #1
So after seeing my battery light keeps coming on found the cause to it. The plug that goes into the alternator is fucked. I have removed and have decided to put back in due to the fact that its cracking and falling apart.

How doe you replace these or do I need to get a full cable with the switch on it that connects up to the rest of the loom?

Could I cut off where the switch ends and splice into wires and connect another up?

Go to a scrap yard. Or google them and ask for the part. They'll practically give that away. Sure there's one close by. Mans yes. Cut wires. Splice new connector on. Or get proper wire connectors for a couple quid instead of twisting the wires together. Electrical tape up nice and watertight due to the location at the front In front of the grill and jobs a gooden

Tried with a connector I had that's waterproof but doesn't quite fit,I'll be trying to locate the original replacment and connect the new one with new clips.
