Juddering at 2000rpm

    Hi Guys,

So ive had my saxo 1.1 a couple of months. Its only done 51k miles so engine is relatively still new.

Anyway, so the last few weeks it has developed a kind of judder at just above 2000 revs, this usually happens if my foot is just slightly on the accelerator, ie cruising around 30 or 40 mph, if I put my foot down a little or take it off, it stops. Its the same across 3rd 4th and 5th gears, all happens around the same rpm.

    Any ideas on the problem?

From my limited knowledge, it feels as though its either an air filter, fuel filter or possible a clutch problem (clutch is very clunky anyway).

Would very much appreciate any help as I kind of want to try and sort it out myself without having to pay tons.

    Thank you.

check valve clearances --or fuelling problem --too lean is best guess --you might try changing plugs+GAP THEM CORRECTLY

or an air leak --spray brake cleaner/ easy start around inlet manifold -but not at filter, engine should change note if there is a leak

Lambda/coilpack/plugs leads. What year is it? My mk1 developed a flat spot that was cured changing the lambda, just felt like it died under moderate throttle! The vtr used to misfire at the same rev range and new coil + plugs sorted it

would not have been coil--as it takes more load for coil when under load --it would have been plugs I think
