Rear Axle Powerflex Installation Query

  1. #1
Hi there, fitted the Powerflex to the rear axle however I don't seem to be able to get them to seat all the way down, they are supposed to be installed by hand so I'm guessing they will adjust themselves properly once they are tighten down? Anybody else experienced this? Many thanks.

They will probably seat properly once attached to the car and under the weight of it but i'd probably try and push them all the way.. maybe try to snug them up a bit in your press if you can get it in there?

All done thank you,I've used the bolt and socket method and they all sit nicely flush now, with the little effort it required I'm pretty sure it would have been fine once fitted anyway but I just wanted to make sure it was okay, one less thing off the checklist.

Looks good, yeah like you say it probably would have been fine but saves messing around if it didn't seat properly. By the way are they new axle washers? I've been looking for some.

Yes,I've had some made up in stainless steel, the original ones were rusty to death, still have them just in case.

Nice idea they look good. Mine were really rusted too, I cleaned them up but they'll probably just rust back up when they're on the car so could do with replacing.

whats the noise and vibration like on the road with polybushes on the rear axle?

changing my axle on a standard road car VTS, tempted to fit these but not if it makes its too harsh on the road (its not a track car).

I haven't tried them yet but the purple version is meant for road use so I wouldn't worry too much about comfort
