Hi i just got in my car today first time in a few weeks and noticed i have a big puddle in the drivers footwell, all door seals and windows seem fine but under the steering wheel near the pedals is soaking, my dad had a similar issue and it was his pollen filter, any ideas what mine could be and how i can fix this? Not the most educated person in these types of problems so help to find the problem would be appreciated
thanks

#4Checked again this morning and have a puddle in both footwells now, just noticed too the roof seems abit wet so thinking it might be coming in through the sunroof and down the pillows either side of the windscreen and out through the bottom of the dash, when i open the sunroof theres a puddle right round the sides of where the glass sits in when its shut, how would i repair this if it is the issue, thanks

#5The sunroof has drainage pipes,if you can get access to either an air line & blow down them or a coathanger to clear them out.

#6Ive had this i tried to seal the sunroof with silicone and it still leaked i was considering getting some vinyl to go over the top of it .

#7ive still got the problem mate, cant be chewed taking the sunroof out to get to the drainage holes though, might just get some seal stuff for guttering and seal it up see if that helps as tbh id never use the sunroof anyway, just sick of either having a puddle in my footwell or a wet hand as the water is dripping from the twisty handle too lol

#8I had the exact same problem. Didn't think it could be the sunroof as the seats weren't wet; was just getting puddles in the footwell. But I had no other ideas, so I sealed the outside of the sunroof with waterproof Duck Tape. Worked like a charm. Can't open the sunroof anymore, but no leaks!Quote:ive still got the problem mate, cant be chewed taking the sunroof out to get to the drainage holes though, might just get some seal stuff for guttering and seal it up see if that helps as tbh id never use the sunroof anyway, just sick of either having a puddle in my footwell or a wet hand as the water is dripping from the twisty handle too lol

#9You don't have to take the sunroof of to get to the drainage holes, just take the sun visors of and the little handles and pop the a pillars off, then pull the roof lining down at the front and you will see the draining tubes, then just pull them off the little metal tube bits and try blow through the tube if you can't it's blocked and that's your problem

#10Any pictures or guides for the most common ways of fixing this? I’ve noticed that one of our VTRs gets puddles in the driver’s side footwell every time it rains. Since the car hardly ever moves it’s starting to smell damp.

#11See my build thread, some pics in there of where they go. Including the pinch on the pipe down the nearside A pillar by people having the dash out/messing about
