Important! : Engine swap!!

    Today I put a 1.6 VTR engine in my saxo and its all up and running except driveshafts (still on axel stands), but it's in a gear all the time, so when I start it in neutral it's doing about 15mph and 1st 2nd 3rd ect it just gains a few mph? Is this because I've put the linkages on wrong or something to do with the clutch as it had a new one is just before I put the engine in!?

    So it's on axle stands with no driveshafts in the gearbox?

    You start it and in neutral the speedo reads 15 mph, then when you put it in gear it only goes up slightly...is this without pressing the accelerator, just at idle?

    Is gearbox oil not spilling out everywhere without the driveshafts in?
