Immobiliser

   If the immobiliser lights on but the engine still starts but the fuel dial keeps moving on its own accord and the rev counter doesn't seem to work could it be the ecu or more Lickey the clocks? as I did some welding work the other week then the immobiliser light seemed to have popped up from no where did have the battery off when welding, any ideas?

   More likely the clocks because there's no connection between the ECU and fuel gauge. There is between the temp gauge on some late cars though.
