Hello
I would appreciate some help on this one folks
I tried to install a cheap keyless entry system i bought from ebay on my 1.1 saxo mk2. The car has got central locking, but not remote control locking. I tried to install it not on the central locking unit itself but inside the driver's door by tapping on the wires i found going to the door lock motor. So i earthed the yellow and yellowblack ones (tapped the yellow green cable), i connected the white to the thin blue cable and the white/black to the thin gray. I powered the system with a portable 12v battery box to test it. The car locks normally but when unlocking, all door locks come up except for the driver's one. As a consequence, when trying to lock again, nothing happens (i guess because the driver's lock never came up, so the system thinks the car is already locked.) Could this be because of the driver's door actuator not MEANT for this kind of task? (to open the lock remotely).
I saw the guide to install the hawk keyless entry system earlier and i will try to connect likewise tomorrow, but i am still concerned if i have to replace the driver's door actuator with another one.
BTW it is way more preferable to connect on the central locking unit itself because everything else like hazard lights, horn and power window cables are way nearer whereas in the door it would be so much harder to reach them.
Anywayz, thank you so much and i hope someone will have some input!!!
Cheers
