Vtr won't rev past 3k

    Hello all. My mates vtr wont rev past 3krpm. I understand it's limp mode but what normally causes this? Thanks

    needs to go on proper diag tool guessing its a 3 plug ecu ---new ecu fitted?--cos an ecu that is not matched to car will default to that
