Tuning

  1. #1
Hey, I was just wondering if anyone knows any free methods of tuning to give a small, if any bhp change.
I don't plan on using the car on the road etc, I just like to use it to mess about so don't really mind what I do it.
So if anyone has any ideas on how I can tune it for free and easily. Let me know

No none whatsoever buy a decent car and you'll have some options

Porting the head to the inlet and exhaust manifold would be a good thing to practice doing if your just messing about. Might smooth out the throttle response if you do a good job. You'd need a die grinder and some sand paper. Very useful thing to know how to do on more powerful setups.

Increasing the compression is fairly cheap and in ways is a win-win, in as much as you gain power, torque and efficiency without a loss of driveability.

think he key is in his message "tune it FREE+easily"

sorry no such thing as free even raising comp will cost money
gaskets +bolts +skim and antifreeze £130+ ,then labour

Strip it out, less weight = better power to weight ratio!

    However, it states

    Car(s): Saxo First 1.1 (2001)
So not much power to start with!
