need help mot fail on corroded strut tops

Saxo failed its mot on corroded strut top , 1 hole the size of a 5p piece , I don't have access to a welder could I get a metal sheet and fibre glass it
so its solid would that pass any ideas ?

no, you will have to get a plate welded over it.might have to remove your strut.

If it's on the strut top itself then there use to be a company that sold plates for £20 odd to make the strut top stronger. If i was doing the job I would use a stepper drill bit to get the holes back to fresh steel then use steel plug disks to weld them up and then weld the plates over the top to put all strength back into the strut top. Do not use fibreglass or anything like that needs welding.
The job to weld shouldn't cost much maybe like £50.
