Thermostat or temp sensor?

   Afternoon everyone,
   
   Just after some advice, when I have my VTS at idle or stuck in traffic my temp sensor works perfectly, goes halfway.
   
   When I drive it sits at the bottom and doesn't move at all?
   
   Not sure if it's sensor or thermostat? I reckon sensor.
   Any help appreciated.

   possibly no thermostat at all fitted, or stuck open.
