Tailgate Lock not working

    New...ish here.
    Had a Saxo Furio for a few days and thought central locking was doing the tailgate too, but no!
    I found tailgate does not lock at all, not even with the key! It opens fine.
    Key will turn about 90 degree right....does nothing, also about 60 degree left...does nothing!
    Is there some weird way it does lock with the key?
    Or perhaps the actuator is duff?

    Open the tailgate take off the plastic panel.The metal rod going to the actuator might have come off.

    Ah, ok, will have a look. Bit scared to inspect car at home/carpark, as it attracts attention to my Furio, as to many dodgy young lads around here. Its a mettalic red, with VTS alloys. Damn it looks good! Not sure what young locals will think when they see 50 yr old blokey bloke with receading hair park it up each day!
    Didn't quite realise what I was buying off eBay lol!

    They will prob think, wow that old bloke drives a car that was released when my dad was a kid.
