Hi
Would appreciate any thoughts on something that concerns me as I am very non-mechanically minded (which is why the car is regularly serviced by a reputable firm!).
Saxo 1.1 Forte 2000 W Reg Mileage only 41,000
Last service and MOT in April 2017. No problems or advisories.
I do about 5,000 a year mileage.
From time to time (there can be a few days between events) I will be changing up from 2nd to 3rd or 3rd to 4th and there is a momentary lack of throttle response and then almost immediately everything is fine.
Acceleration in all gears is otherwise excellent. Crisp and strong. Keep thinking its imagination, dirt in petrol or my throttle foot catching on the bulkhead but I really don't think so.
If I ask my service people to test drive it the chances are it wouldn't happen (!) and I wondered if electronic diagnosis would (a) be available for a car of this age and (b) actually pinpoint the fault.
Doing a return trip of 400 miles in a couple of weeks time so am keen to resolve matters.
Thanks
Derek
