My questions regarding my car issues
- How can i solve the ticking noise from the alarm box?
- The aftermarket kit had atleast for 2,5 years all the wires connected, except for the red circled wire. Anyone knows what make and model this unit is? so i can check wireing diagrams.
- i want to have keyless entry with the function that my DRL's will turn on when unlocking and locking
Ticking alarm unit?
So when i bought my car it came with a system with a key fob that i can use to open and close my car and even turn it on remotely to warm up. I will come back on this topic later.
So the last time my alarm unit is ticking sometimes like crazy which is hell anoying. I made a video with you guys to share it. https://youtu.be/8vfIDGhDfhU
First i thought it was the aftermarket remote kit that was installed. How can i fix this issue?
Aftermarket Remote Kit
So the car has a (i suppose aftermarket) remote starter kit.
Everything was connected except the red circled (i suppose power wires)
I disconnected all the wires and the car still runs fine, locks, unlocks, lights work, wipers work etc. Only function i remember i lost is automatic closing windows when turning car off.
So this is how the unit looks from inside
The key fob
A lose hanging unit whith a wheel adjuster on the rear for i dont know what
I bought the car and drove around 5 months with all the wires plugged in except the red circled wires like shown below. So i think shorting out wont happen since the previous owner had this car for atleast 2 years and never had that cable connected nor used the key fob
