Important! : Saxo water leakage

  1. #1
Hi today it rained heavily and when i came back to my 1.5D 2000 saxo i found water in the right footwell (driver side) aerial is sealed, car has no sunroof, i remved scuttle panel and i found a lot of debris but the drain hole wasnt blocked, pollen filter was blocked with crap, and on the left side of the pollen filter there is like a seal fastened by a nut, could this be leaking?
  2. #2
Water is leaking from above the flutch and brake pedal
  3. #3
I went out and poured a lot of water on the car, it seems that its leaking into the blower motor and onto the interior carpet. How do i cure this ?
  4. #4
You could have a blocked scuttle, two drainage holes one each side of the scuttle.
  5. #5
Np they arent blocked, its only when it rains heavily, the drains dont cope with the lots of water and it drips in the blower motor, how can i fix this ?
  6. #6
Sunroof seal,or the windscreen seal is leaking.
  7. #7
No i already told you that i found the leak, it coming through the blower motor under the scuttle panel in heavy rain, i want to know if i can do something to fix this and i already said that i dont have sunroof
  8. #8
The windscreen seal is the culprit,if you'd listened to what I had said.
  9. #9
Is it just a remove the old seal and put in the new seal ?
  10. #10
But if the windscreen was leaking, wouldnt it be leaking from up of the windscreen or the sides? Mine is leaking from above gas pedal from air intake duct pipe.
  11. #11
When i poured water around the windscreen it didnt leak from anywhere
  12. #12
Windscreen seal leaks from the bottom, just apply some silicone.
  13. #13
I put lots of water on windsxreen area and even on the bottom of the windscreen and none leaked, only problem is when water goes under the scuttle channel where there are the 2 drain holes and it rains very heavily the holes dont cope with the lots of instant water and some of it pours down the blower motor in the scuttle channel

    Those holes are massive.

I've never, ever had one overflow into my heater box.

    Park somewhere flat.

Ok rhanks, i only had the leak in very heavy rain and only about quarter of a cup of water came in only so not much and i think i was parked a bit uphill if i remember correct so maybe thats why some water came in. Martin do you know the part number for the long channels on the saxo roof? I dont know what they are called

9023 F9 and F8 for Left and Right. That's the one above the door.

The long ones on the roof (they go front to back) are 8319 71 but they are NFP.

Yeah I'd say the parking uphill might have done it.
