Saxo hood pins/aerocatch install

  1. #1
Hi i want to install a set of aerocatches to my saxo as the bonnet latch is broken, would you reccomend hood pins or aerocatches? I dont want other people to access my engine bay which this feature is only available to aerocatches by locks but pins are easier to install than aerocatches, what you guys reccomend ?

I personally would just fix your bonnet catch. My ek has lockable aero on the front and standard aero on the back
, never had a problem with them and pretty secure. They did have to be listed on the insurance unsure why.

Just make sure you use the templates and measure a lot before drilling and cutting as people fuck up a lot with them.

My bonnet catch was already welded before, and i think if i get it welded again it wilk not hold up because it will be weak

There is an option of buying another bonnet but it wil be more expensive, even if i spray it myself

Just get some one who knows how to weld, cut the bad stuff out and weld in new, the saxos are easy as you can just use 8mm bar stock then fabricste your own carrier plate then weld that in place of the standard item could do it all for 20 easily

Or even get one from a scrappers and weld that on.

Its snapped because of the state of the welding. Get it welded properly save yourself the hassle of jb weld it wont work.
