1.4 radiator

    Hi guys,
I’ve brought a new radiator from euro parts for my 1.4 Saxo and it has a screw hole under the top hose for where the air con goes, I dnt have air con and on the existing rad there’s no screw hole. Euro parts say it can be used with or without air con but won’t coolant come out from the air con hole?

It’s identical to the one in the link, I’m pretty certain they have sent the wrong one but Euro parts won’t have it

    Link doesn't/didn't show.
Found it when requoting your post.

It should come with a threaded bung/tap if it was the correct one.
Can't you take the bung out of yours, if it has one? or show them the pic below.

Ah that’s a good idea I’ll look when I’m home. My argument to them was is when I changed the radiator on my old 1.1 desire I got it again from europarts and was sent a rad with the air con hole and the swapped it for one without the hole.

It's not an aircon hole, its for the older style radiator fan switch.

They should have supplied one with a bung for a later model. as pictured above.

There's no difference in rads for aircon models, they'll be getting confused if you tell them that which is why they've said what they have.

You could block it with a fan switch, they're a few quid if you're stuck and they're being unhelpful.

Eusless Crap Parts as I was informed earlier.

THank you so much for your help! 😁 it was actually Euro parts that told me the hole was for the aircon! Will look and see if there’s a bung in my exciting one it not I’ll put a fan switch in thanks again :-)

I had a feeling it was Euro that told you it was for aircon.

Luckily the parts guy is dead helpful and knowledgable in my local ECP branch
