De-Locking

   If i delocked my doors and boot and something went wrong with the central locking and I could'nt open it with my fob, im guessing you would have to break into your own car to get in???

   I have the doors de locked and not the boot mate, but if your gonna smooth it then you could leave one door lock on, or alternatively get the boot popper linked to a seperate fob advanced alarm so that you could get in through the boot if needed?

   I think just leaving the boot lock on would be best, but having the boot wired up to a alarm fob if you were going to delock that is a good idea. I don't think I would delock oneside and not the other though because it would be just as easy to break into as not delocking it.

   Yeah thats only if you do the boot, could be easier that way as having the popper linked to a separate key fob might be pricey unless you DIY it.

   some people get a button hidden arround the car sum where that opens the doors or a little lever thats hooked straight to the door mechanism. thats wat the people at the body shop told me that they do if the smooth the handles off

   Don't get the boot delocked, simply because if the doors are and your fob fails to work - there is NO other way in.
   
   I once locked my keys in the car, I had to prize the door back and turn the ignition off with a hook (car had auto door locking).
   
   I am getting my VTR delocked in next couple of months, but leaving the boot one there just incase.

   If you want to get your car de-locked all around including boot and get that smoothed off your best bet is to get an alarm mate.. like you said if your central locking fcuks up your buggered!

   couldnt you fit a 2nd switch to the boot popper and have a 2nd battery just for the popper so if the car battery dies u still have the 2nd battery just to pop open boot. be for any one says thay dont want to have a 2nd battery i dont mean a 2nd car battery just a battery pack that will just power poper once or twice what you lot think good idea?
