#10suppose you pay for what you get and at least you know what your getting. theres a 100k rolling road in leic but ive been told they dont know what there doing with it. ive really leant to never skimp, would be nice though if it was a bit cheaper.
-
#11WHERE ABOUTS IS THIS RR IN LEICESTER SUPPOSED TO BE EXACTLY MATE? also whats the place called?
-
#12its in thurmaston, its called street racers.
like i said above thats what ive been told by another tuning company so i cant recommend then as i dont know. just to let you know their there anyway. -
#13here is the link to street racers website http://www.streetracersgd.co.uk/ i was thinking of goin there my self but dont know that much about the place
-
#14chipwizards is in rochdale. just NE of manchester.
-
#15im thinkinking of jamsport woops
-
#16been in touch with them in leicester and they sound pretty decent. for a vts they charge £350 for a full remap. and quoted me an extra £150+vat for fitting the cams. does this sound about right?
-
#17i will fit them for £50.
come to the NE LAM this sunday and i will do it there.
what cams are they? -
#18708's matey. good choice?
they are on the way to me in the post mate. id be quite confident in fitting them myself but i just need to know if there is anything that if i dont do will totally fcuk the engine. like set the timing correctly or summthing. -
#19fit them as normal and set the timing to standard whilst you tension the belt.
at this point you wont have an idle, so from the locking holes turn the inlet anti-clockwise approx 2mm and the exhaust clockwise approx 2mm.
turn it over by hand first to make sure you have enough clearance.
this will give you a good idle, then you can get it set for power when you get it mapped. -
#20cheers,
thanks for the help mate!"
