I'm considering moving the battery into the rear of the car. Can anybody offer any advice on this? Is it a simple task? What is required to do it? Longer battery wires obviously and maybe a battery box, but anything else?

#2I've shifted my battery behind the navigators seat, not sure if you can get onto the link below but if not my thread is titled 106 GTI track / sprint car build progress, I have some pics of my battery relocation that may be of assistance.

#3When you extend it, just use cable the same thickness. I used winch cable from ebay, iy was more than up to the job. multi stranded copper.
In the engine bay, I bought a large connector block and jointed the 3 cables where the +ve battery terminal used to be. You don't need to do anything with the -ve cable. You could remove it and run a separate cable from the gearbox earth to chassis earth.
Then in the rear you only need a short cable on the battery to ground it. -
#4That's great, thanks Chaps. Expect I will be back with follow up questions once I get round to attempting it.
