My saxo currently makes a clunking noise when even going over slight bumps, also makes the same noise when steering, mainly when steering to park, any ideas of what it might be? Cheers

#6Try tightening the nut that holds the strut in its housing, its a big round nut you have to turn it with a pair of mole grips, its just under the strut dust boot

Had this on my saxo took ages to figure out, and when i tightened it noise has gone away.

But it can also be the strut top bearing as stated also.

Sent from my SM-T560 using Tapatalk

#8Strut top mounts can be faulty, the strut plate where the coil spring sits on may need some welding, they tend to loosen on saxos and make a clunk noise when steering particularly when dry steering. As for the gear shifter being stiff, i would start taking all the linkages off and grease them and refit them, and replace any worn parts if any

Sent from my SM-T560 using Tapatalk
