Saxo VTS - EML and loss over power

    Hi everyone,<br><br>Old member used to have a 1.1 back in the day and nostalgia got me and I’v bought a mk2 VTS 2001 and I love it. Only issue is Iv had it a few days and Iv already got a problem. I’ll be out driving and after around 20 minutes the car will lose power and start struggling and become louder through the exhaust. If I stop and drop to idle the car revs drop and the car nearly stalls. The only thing that fixes it is leaving the car around 2 hours and then when I start it back up it’s fine. Sometimes the EML is on when I start it sometimes it’s not. Either way the car works fine for around 20 mins then drops all power.     I would start with checking if you have stored fault codes.

    Probs coilpack breaking down when it gets warm.

    Hi, thanks for the reply’s. Plugged it in and getting a couple different codes. Potential ecu issue, knock sensor or ignition it says. I’ll try the coil pack first and knock sensor and see what happens with that. Thanks for the advice. <br><br><br>Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
