My saxo rusted rusted through from the right rear wheel well into the trunk. Once the rust has reached this far, is it still fixeable or is my saxo basically scrap metal now?
how much rust is too much?

#3hahah, are you the only person left on this forum? Yeah it appears to be the only rust. Some bits of the front suspension are pretty rusty too. But since it's solid metal I'm not too worried.
I can't weld tho. So I'll have to ask a rust repair show. I reckon it's gonna be a rather expensive ordeal. They'll probably ask more then I paid for the car in the first place. But oh well. If it'll be good for a while after that I might as well.
If it would just stay as is I don't really mind. It's a track car, not a daily driver. I'm just worried about it getting worse to the point where it's actually a problem. -
#4I'tll only become a problem when it rusts on bot sides, for the full length of the boot floor.Quote:hahah, are you the only person left on this forum? Yeah it appears to be the only rust. Some bits of the front suspension are pretty rusty too. But since it's solid metal I'm not too worried.

Then the axle will bend the boot floor.
Any garage that can weld won't charge much to repair that bit, it's really easy.
