it can but you need to rebate the pistons or use thicker gaskets (which almost defeats the object as your lowering the compression) if you dont do this the valves will hit the pistons as their are no cut outs.
you also need some pullys off the vts block as the vtr is different, and also the vts has an oil return on the bottom end that comes from the vts, head, the vtr doesnt have this so they need re-routing or a hole drilled for the return. all in all it would be cheaper getting a full vts lump, but if you can get one cheap with a ferked bottom end it might be worth doing it, ive done it for a mate but he was using forgies on a turbo so the compression didnt matter. |
