1.1 & VTR/VTS Shockies

  1. #1
What's the difference between 1.1 and VTR/VTS shockies, is there any difference????

  2. #2
    most likely stiffness.
  3. #3
correct.notice the difference of a 1.1 round a corner compared to a vt*
  4. #4
but the fitment will be the same?????

i would assume so as many people put vtr/s rear axles on 1.1s so i wouldnt have thought that theyd change it for the front
  6. #6
shocks have nothing to do with the stiffness
they control the rate of oscillations of the spring.
  7. #7
so what determines the amount of body roll when going through corners?
  8. #8
    springs?
  9. #9
dunno mate, i always thought that springs determined ride height and shocks determined the amount of travel. ah fuck it. u heading to the yorks lam this weekend?

noooooooooo sorry dude. springs do determine the amount of body roll.

They behave by compressing according to how much force is applied to them. but in theory a spring would continue to oscilate forever if it wasnt damped... imagine a car on jelly like suspension not good.

    the damper resists the oscialltions.

Sadly i wont be going to the meet, trust me i'd love to :upset: also i'd like to see your car in the metallic flesh
