4-1 is better top end, 4-2-1 is better lower down. GMC 4-1 is a good bet

An important consideration. I saved 20quid and bought a Miltech. Took me 7 years to fit

Does a 4-1 give the car a lumpy tick over at?

What kind of gains over a 4-2-1 are we talkin bout here in bhp.

no lumpy tick over. and theres no real differnt gains to which you have.
a vtr normally will go for a 4-1 so better up the rev range where a vts needs it lower down so needs a 4-2-1

So from peoples views a 4-2-1 is better for the 1.6 16v engines due to improvements in bottom end?

I see GMC has one for alloy 1,4 and steel 1,4/1,6 engines. What's the difference? I am thinking of buying one for my alloy 1,4 Saxo, but I might change the engine to a 1,6 later on.
