Guide for 1,3 rallye manifold on 1,4 Saxo

  1. #1
I put a 1,3 rallye inlet manifold on my 1,4 Saxo VTS (norway) the same as yours westcoast and furio. Anyone interested in how to fit this manifold? If so I can make a guide with pictures The car goes very well and I have no problems with idle or anything else:Y:

im very interested mate, gotta westcoast and i know a 1.3 rallye engine for sale...will i just need the inlet manifold and throttle body??
  3. #3
u need the throttle body and inlet. but i dont think the inlet goes straight onto a westcoast. dont think the holes line up. dnt take my word for it tho i knw they didnt on my furio so i bought a VTR engine.

Just the inlet and throttlebody and the plug for the throttle thing Don't remember what its called. I don't know if there are different inlets on these engines? mine is like this 0-0 0-0 If u know what I mean? You also need the stepmotor from the rallye.

so i wont need the loom thn??

any pics ivan?? more info? will the rally head fit on?

Here are some pictures. I think the head from the rallye will fit but 100% sure. If so u will get about 110hp i think. But u will need a remap too. I only changed the inlet and throttlebody.
Here is the plug u have to get from the Rallye wiring loom. And it has to be made a bit longer and change the wires. The yellow is in the middle on the rallye throttlebody.

I turned the stepmotor around to avoid cutting the wires. the plug fits the stepmotor from the rallye. The yellow plug is a heater I think. works ok without this plugged in. The two vacum holes next to the stepmotor has to be blinded in some way. I just did like u see in the picture

Here u have the two small vacum pipes. I used one for the pipe from the gastank and the other for the map sensor.

    Here it is finished

is there a big power increase? does the air filter sound louder now? my mate is only selling the engine no loom so where can i get the wires from? cheers

if the head fits and that might push out around 110bhp, will skimming the head and porting and polishing and a fast road cam make it over 120bhp same as vts?? anybody know?

the guys in denmark say if u fit a cam, port & polished rallye (s1 or s2) head and a 1600 bottom end, full exhaust (including a new exhaust manifold and decat pipe), and a remap, then u will see about 130- 140 hp. so i guess about 110 - 120 with the 1400 bottom. If u only change the inlet and throttle body, then all u need is the plug or u can also use three small plugs to connect it. I think I will need a remap to get the full potential from the inlet, but the response is much better and makes a great sound over 3000 rpm. I haven't changed the exhaust so I think the car will be a lot better when I do.

ok cheers mate, so i can make up th plug myself?

Stay tuned to this topic as i'll be fitted another S1 inlet to a VTR soon and i'll be doing a full guide step by step
  13. #13
ok cheers wolz cant wait to see how it goes!
  14. #14
You need a re-map to see any gains from this!.... cams and porting will help dramatically.... the noise is gorgous though

rite o just to tie things up.....if i get a 1.3 rallye engine, get a mechanic to fit the head, inlet and throttle body, get a remap, exhaust manifold, decat full system and induction in da near future should be much quicker thn vtr? correct?
