Help!!

Hi Guys/Gals
Slight problem i think i have a 1.1 desire and checked under the engine bay last night with the engine running and the fan at the front is not moving... Is this right or does it come on when it reaches optimum temp??
The car is not overheating on journeys short or long.

it will come on when the car is hot enough

leave the car running standing still for about 10 mins and it should come on

Well i drove it around today and still it does not come on. Think its time to let the garage take a look?

The temp is staying true to half way (I thought that was normal?!?)

mine comes on just after half way

like i said leave it on ideling and watch temp sensor when it gets to a bit over half it will come on but dont let it get to hot just incase it doesnt

Ok will give that a go... Might give it a run down the bypass.

no cause the air of you driving it will cool it down hence leave it standing still so no cold air can cool it down

i had this problem, left it running for bout 5/10 mins, then put foot on pedal and gave it a few revs, then the fan kicked in
