BMC CDA Filters are pretty universal. The CDA70-130 model fits the 1.4 8v, 1.6 8v (VTR) and the 1.6 16v (VTS)
They will probably fit the 1.1s too but im not positive. The problem wouldnt be with the airbox though. It would just mean u need to source the correct reducer hose to go from the throttle body to the air filter EDIT: too slow, but there u go - 2 people have said the same thing |

Try the filter first and see if it fits, iv never had a VTR but i cant imagine there being much difference.
You want silicone hoses to go from the throttle body to the filter. If you know the measurements your after then eBay or some of the motorsposrt are a good place to start. There are alot of brands offering silicone hosing hopefully someone can post some links because i cant remember any off the top of my head. Samco and Demon-somthing spring to mind though. |

I tried fitting the bmc from the vts to my vtr it was way to big and would not fit you would need a smaller battery for it to fit snuggly the vtr one went straight in not bother at all

I just checked this onthe bmc website. They list the CDA70-130 unit for 1.4 8v, VTR and VTS.
The model name for the filter actually tells you a bit about the diametere of the engine outlet, and the overall size od the filter housing. CDAD1-D2 ![]() So in the saxos case (CDA70-130) the filters should all be 130mm in diameter, which suggests the one you tried on wasnt acctually for a saxo stiffler, either that or your battery is much too big |
