inlet manifold

Is there anything you can do to this to improve the bhp or speed ?
like boring it out like the throttle body ?
  2. #2
nope, its plastic and isnt really anywhere to remove material.
  3. #3
Thats the end of that then (LOL)
  4. #4
lol, you could get a custom inlet made if your loaded?
  5. #5
Or fitting throttle bodies, which is always a good idea in my book.
  6. #6
thats prob the best inlet mod

im buing one a bit on the cheap at the minute and gonna bore it out a bit and see what its like. im sure i can get the walls wider even if its only a little! evry little helps!

also ets can you get that de-cat mate or not?
  9. #9
its a proper c*nt to get off without taking your head off btw.

i know mate im gonna fit it when i fit my cams if not then il just take off the rocker covers and undo the appropriate engine mounts to be able to pivot the engine forward and undo the bolts

you dont need to remove the head to do the cams though. the bolts in the middle underneath will be real hard tog et at. you may aswell do a head gasket change while your on + new belt.

it had both of them changed only 3000 miles ago!
  13. #13
lol, oh well. tbh though there isnt really anything to remove from the inlet manifold.
and you dont want to make the manifold ports bigger than the head ports.
  14. #14
i know i thought about that mate. getting the head port & polished though so can bore out the manifold to the same as the ported inlet holes

Spencer the car is fuc again so I cant get it to powerflow for them to sort it and I'm on holiday next week so I'm running out of time but if you still want it when I get back let me know.

In regards to this thread it seems alot of hassle for minimal gain.

yer i see where your coming from mate but if you can squeeze that bit more power out of a few things then it all adds up and i love my sax so for me its well worth havin a go!
