Brake problems

I have had my hispec 4 pot brakes now for about 3 weeks, and it's been 3 weeks of juddering. Initially im not sure whether the discs where flat against the hub when they where installed, but it was making the stearing wheel shake like anything and the car judder even when slowing from speeds of about 10mph. If i pushed the brakes really hard they would lock up for a second and then judder again. when i get out of the car the left hand brake disc would be really hot and the right hand one not as warm. Today i have totaly stripped the discs of and reinstalled them. using a clamp and a ruler i tried to measure for run out but them seemed okay to the naked eye. There may of been a bit of dirt (oil grease) on the discs to start with. could this cause the problem? and maybe stop them from gripping onto the disc? now i have rebuilt them the car still judders but both discs get very hot. I have looked at the pads and they looked glazed and very smooth. Ive paid alot of money for these and want them working properly if anyone can help. The kit is a Hi-spec 283mm kit on a 99VTS with green stuff pads.

    Cheers

It took my black diamond & predator pads a while to bed in properly. Grease and oil on the brakes generally speaking won't help you mate. have you spoke to the manufactures for support??

havent spoke to them yet nope but i have had a look on there website for sugestions. did your brakes judder while they where bedding in?

Only when i really slammed them on but not like you said at 10mph, that sounds like something is definately wrong. Give them a buzz tomorrow they will probably be able to help

is there any chance the discs are fitted wrong way round?

Thanks for your advise guys. discs are now off the car and heading back to hi-spec motorsport for them to sort it out. which leaves me without a car for the next few days. Must say im not to happy with them considering the first dics they sent where for a pcd of 100

Green stuff pads are utter shit btw, get some mitex 1144s. I have them on my VTS. They are getting low but then they have every right to. I check them before every trackday and I'm amazed they're still here.

As an idea, what wheels are you running and are they spaced? Could a wheel weight be hitting the caliper?

16" team dynamics monza, plenny of space between the caliper and weights.

indeed. Well that's gay as fuck. Bin the pads anyway.

they received the disc today and they said one has been discoloured and looked blue which meant it had been getting to hot. they recommended for me to look at the brake master cylinder because it seems like my pads are constantly gripping the wheel. One of the discs where getting stupidly hot.

ok well discs are back and ive put new pads on aswell. judder has actually gone now. but when putting the disc's back on and then the wheel back on it must of pushed the brake disc against the rear pads because the disc stuck to it. so when i went for the first test run it was like starting moving in your car with the handbrake on, which of cause after a couple of times round the block get your brakes bloody hot and steamy in the cold weather. should i just continue running the car and let this little bit of friction material rub of and then they will run freely? let me know what you think. Cheers
