jsut picked up a vts engine help

   just bought a mk1 vts engine .........rite i have a mk2 vtr and im trying to get the wiring sorted but it doesnt seem to workout as i thought can any1 help me

   you need to rewire the multi-plug (on the engine loom) as the mk1 has less wires iirc . you 'll also need your ecu unlocked as the mk1 and mk2 immobilisers are different. and as a side note, you'll need the water hoses from the mk1 as the mk2's are too short (or one of them is, cant remember)

   ooh not sure mate, think ecu doctor do it for around 150-200 (i may be way off so dont quote me on that), sure a citroen garage could do it, maybe give them a ring.

   av got a mk2 vtr engine for a mk1 car.been off road for over 3 month n it dont look to be moving anytime soon not got a clue how to do wiring.am buyin a run around till it gets sorted lol. tempted to sell it as it is

   sounds like you need to take it to a garage and get them to rewire the mk1 loom to fit to the mk2 engine. if you tell them that's what needs doing then they should be able to get hold of the relevant wiring diagrams, or you could ask a citroen garage if they'll give you a copy of them.

    doesnt matter what year ecu you buy you wil need it unlocked to run on a different car.

    onec you hvae unlocked an ecu sont plug the immob back in. as it will lock it again.
