Quick Shift / Short Shifter

Im looking at buying one. But a little confused. A few that are on ebay, is tjsut the bottom bit, not the nob and shaft. then on a website (can't remember which) it was just the nob and shaft, no bottom bit, do i need both to get a better change? or just one?

umm not sure what you mean mate. its the linkage that makes the throw "shorter" thus making it a quiker gear change

depends waht you want...id save my money and just get the bottom bit

b&m waste of money, just get the taz style shifter, the bottom bit. less than half the price. think gms still do them. theres plenty of threads on her to search on

I cant recommend Quickshifts/Short Throw unit enough.

I had one fitted to my Ford Cougar and was very impressed, then when I got in the Saxo I could wait to replace the standard unit for a Quickshift. My clutch needed doin just after I bought it so I fitted the Quickshift at the same time as a Black Diamond clutch.

I dont agree wit bullit at all, Ive got B&M in my VTS and is very good. Im not sure about the units which are just the base unit, so personally Id go for a B&M.

    But thats IMO

I love mine, well worth it. Mines a B&M aswell, piece of piss to fit.

sorry im not saying b&m are bad, they do the same job, but the taz style is loads cheaper

cant argue there for the price difference the TAZ style one is the better choice unless you can find a b&m one for cheap like i did

maybe even a griffiths engineering one, never heard anything bad about them (apart for lack of fitting instructions, but its hardly rocket science fitting a quickshift is it?) and they are about 20 quid arent they?

Can anyone give me a website that sells the taz style short shifters? I've searched but I can only find sites selling B&M. Thanks
