How to fit laguna splitter

  1. #1
i have a laguna splitter on at the minute and its held in with about 10 screws in to my normal splitter.

the problems is that the screw work themselves loose and it keeps coming out.

    has anyone got any ideas??
i was going to silicone seal some block of wood or plastic to the back of my standard splitter and then screw into that??

    cheers

mine was screwed in with some big arse screws through the original splitter and bumper and never moved

its now on cammed vtrs car and is fixed in the same way and he has no problems

ive got about 11 wood screws in it, if the screws are too bit then they come through the front of the original splitter

wood screws?? Id say theyre probably not the type you need to be using. Put a drop of tiger seal along the edges aswel, it wont shift with that stuff on

got a pic of the splitter? is it on front or rear?

why not use couple of them plastic clippy things that people use to stop their hub-caps from getting knicked.

cable ties....not sure how that could work tbh
  17. #17
    cable ties wont work
  18. #18
if i used cable ties it would look worse than it does now,

when i have time im going to use some blocks, seal them on the existing splitter and then screw it into them with some big arse screws.

and then if that doesn't work im going to burn it!!

it cost me nothing so if it goes tit up you can have it for the postage costs.

i got it from a laguna that was crashed in the bushes on the way to my girlfriends house, i thnik it had just been crashed as well becasue the engine was still warm
