Halfords Neon Footwells :(

   Went to halfords and purchased one of those
   "ripspeed black light neons with blue swirl leds" (£16.99)
   
   its a plug and play light that fits directly into your ciggerette lighter.
   
   Pluged it in my dads Ford Mondeo, worked a treat
   
   Pluged it into my citroen saxo, didt work at all!
   
   
   Has any one eles had any problems like this?
   
   Help or soloutions would be great!

   i refunded it now, got my money back
   
   i just wanted to make my car a bit snazzy inside with sum lights.
   
   and saw a sax member on here with some ace neons in his footwells
   
   halfords is pretty crap to be honest

   if your going to put footwell LEDs in then wire them in properly. look shite having loads of wires coming out your cig lighter. its easy done

   When i had one for my boot mate it worked in my mums civic but not my ciggy lighter, so i stripped down the wire and wired it upto the boot light and it worked fine off there. Looked pretty damn good it did

    get a set of 2 off ebay, they come with a transformer, and switch, i hard wired mine into the back of the cig lighter

    how did you lot mount yours my brother kicked mine off when braking and i cant see any whre to put it where it wont be kicked off

    ahhh, i really dont want to answer this as my saxp street cred is lower than a nuns baps at the moment but...
    
    the tubes are too thick and therefore there isnt a easily installable place to locate them. So what i did is stick them under my seats.

    try and get the multi-coloured ones if you can. they're much cooler than just 1 colour! i saw a really nice z4 the other day with multi-coloured washer gets and LED's in the grill. was lovely
