I believe they are really good exhausts but i have only heard about them on an xr2. They are the best for the fez, not sure about the sax.
  3. #3
    yeah?
i was advised away from them as apparently they're stupid loud?
  4. #4
They are mild steel, very light, give loads of power but they are loud as fuck. If you don't care about loud noise they are great (they sound great though) and you really need to give thema coat of paint around the boxes to stop them rusting, and even then they don't lastm that long (2-3 years) but they are pretty good. On a camm'd VTS I didn't notice any performance increase from my BTB when I swapped it for my ashley

so you reckon i should get one?
they dont pop and bang like a Nova do they?

Depends. I wouldn't have one on a daily car as they ar LOUD AS FUCK

otherwise they are great. Tunnel at 60mph in second they sound fantastic

kay; wont be buying one then
    (gave you rep David)
and, your car does 60 in second? or is that just the VTR rant?
  8. #8
A VTS will do 60 in second I think. With a 7850 limiter it certainly will

I had a full ashley system on a XR2i years ago including 4-2-1 manifold, and was very impressed with it. It wasn't that loud as it was a twin box system and was only a 3" tailpipe. In ref to mild steel systems I don't think people should shy away from them just because they arent S/S. Most people don't keep a car like the Saxo for longer then 2-3yrs anyway so for value for money they are good - better than sportex IMO

If your changing the system - change the manifold. Your see the best gains that way.

what about if i change the zorst system then change the manifold at a later date?
worth while or change both at once?
