on the vts ive heard bad things about taking the rockers of and re-sealing with liquid gasket can anyone elaborate I was told to just buy new rockers but they're ££££s anyone done it?

The only other thing worth saying is it worth considering heat proof paint ??

better to change the seal whilst you've got it off there only a couple of quid.

remember to not over tighten the nuts when your putting it back on.

this is how i did mine....

first off remove the 2 10mm bolts
    then remove all seals etc
flat or scotch the roker cover useing 800grit went n dry) (or red scotch)
apply a few coats of primer (heat proff) not sure if you can get it anywhere or weather its just we get it becase we area bodyshop
then guide coat the primer (get a diff colour aerosol and just lights spay over the cover so it looks like overspray) then flat it again useing some wet n dry (800's) untill all the guide coat has gone and it looks like it did before you put it on clean off useing some panel wipe (white spirit will do the same thing)
    then your ready for paint!

then re fit (mayaswell buy a new seal aswell while your at it only cheap and you hvae a guarantee its completly dirt, dust etc proff so wont do your engine anyharm

if u can find somewhere that sells them then let me know coz i have been to two different citroens now and both said you cant get them as they come allready on the cam covers as there a different type of gaskett compared to the vtr ones and there not removelabe, even they said there mechanic said it was odd and have to use instant gaskette

tryed various ones but all say instant gaskette, the gaskette on the VTS cam covers comes pre-fitted and its unremovealbe, its quite thick so it should never leak unless its been removed or damaged, there is no grove or pit for it to sit in and its glued on from factory, nothing like normal cam gaskets that lip around the bottom of the cover
