hello i have a 1.1i saxo. i have added a miltek dual exhsust to it. a de cat pipe. a K&N air filter and now i just baught some splitfire performance ignition leads for 60 quid..

does anyone else know of any way i can perhaps gain more bhp or accelaration from medorate modifiications.

and any smart ass who say go buy a vtr.. i have heard it before.

im juist doing some shit to my 1.1i cas im putting a VTS in it in feb.

    any ideas would be aprriciated..

honestly, save your money and spend it on the vts engine, a 1.1 will never ever be even moderately nippy.

I agree with Sean, spend the money on the vts engine. To make much of a difference to a 1.1 you'd need to to some serious mods e.g. turbo

You could maybe get a small gain out of uprated cams, remap but yourll be spending nearly as much money as just buying a vts lump.

No point spending money on engine mods on a 1.1, wont get much of a gain. Drop a vtr/ vts in it.

your best bet is to remove unnecessary weight mate

the car will perform a lot better by removing the weight than adding any little engine mod.

    plus its free

buy a turbo.... oo and some 20 pound viper stripes that adds like 50 bhp

Theres a nice turbo kit on ebay at the moment if you have a spare 2k and a vts engine to bolt it to.

i must admit m8,people are going to automatically think a 1.1 could not be even close to nippy!! well it aint a saxo but there is a 1.2 nova on novaload.net with twin 40s and it was proved and watched beating a 1.4 corsa sri,so i would imagine the same possibilitys are available for your saxo, you never know they could be tuneable,id love to see a 100bhp 1.1,due to having a smaller block it wud leave a standard vtr! entirely up to yourself what you do but in my experience id save for a 1.4/1.6
