hello, was just wondering, i know you can pot VTR/VTS engines in saxo's but is there anything else more powerful? 2.0 litre engine perhaps? pug 206 GTI? also i mean any engine that fit with mods to the bonnet, panels, engine bay etc..
Biggest engine you can put in SAXO?

#2a rear wheel drive bike engine is where its at
-
#3In the engine bay only the 1.6 would be reasonable due to weight distribution and mullered handling, rear mounted engines, bike or CTR Supercharged for example would be mildy quicker than a corsa merit off the mark

#4Agreed, The day will come when i have one
Biggest engines ive heard of going into bonnet of a saxo with adjustments is xsara vts and calibra which are both 2.0 i think.
Many would argue that the increase in power is fazed out by the increased weight on the front end and therefore could cause handling to be a bit unstable -
#5Could lob a massive engine in rear if your pockets are fat enough

People rubbish up the handling of their saxo's by lowering them by daft amounts. I've always been of the view that if you're going to rubbish up the handling then do by putting a big powerful heavy engine. -
#6im sure if youve got the money you could put any sized engine in a saxo... bigger the engine the more work it will take hence the more it will cost
-
#7Anything is possible if you have money. A 2ltr conversion is possible but requires alot of work and to be honest isnt worth it. Just spend the money on a turbo/supercharger.
-
#8so if you had the money whats the max bhp could you get out of a saxo with it still handling ok?

#9there was a thread on here when someone was one about putting a 2.2 honda v-tec engine in there vts, don't know if it was a wined up or not
