I was thinking of buying one of these for a laugh, and wondered if anyone had any experience with them and knew if they damaged your exhaust or anything...

for a start your car doesnt put out enough unburnt fuel to 'produce huge flames, up to 6ft' as the bullshit ad says, secondly it's very illegal. thirdly, it's wank, impressive on a 400bhp cosworth not quite so much on a saxo vtr.

i have actually seen it in person on a vtr, it had a straight through exhaust decated the lot n the flames were impressive, BUT it burnt his bumper to fcuk and i mean burnt it, it was the first time he used it n he used it bout ten times and his bumper was melted and well gone. but the flames were good

Surely its legal on private land, Just not for road use lmao...

Ofc it would work on my car, not sounding but my car is straight through (only silencer being backbox) and its always spitting and popping when the throttle is released so isnt that unburnt fuel?

it would work then mate, but it dus burn ya bumper, it is legal on private property im sure, i think anything is legal on private property lol

it is legal on private land, but don't expect big flames! and get some pics up if you get one lol should be a laugh!

    well not anything lol

Yea as long as the flames arnt huge then it shouldnt touch the bumper i spose, i must think the exhaust gets red hot though , ive seen small flames i spose you could call them come outta and exhaust with an flaming kit it musta been and the flames on tht just came out the tailpipe and wernt ott at all, i think thats what im after... I just want it for a laugh lol

what i don't understand is that flame kits are illegal, but scoobies with badass flames blasting out the zorst are legal, as the flames are a result of the turbo!? just dont get it?

i have seen a saxo vtr with a decat and that put out 1-3ft flames so it does work but like u say not the 6ft that they normally state, i had a flamer kit on my punto turbo and that gave out 2-4ft flames but i then had a add on kit that injected butane into the exhaust once the flame had started that made it up to 6ft, mid u think was about 4 years ago when flamers were new on the scene

    here is a vtr flaming:

Still illegal though as it'll not be passing an emisions test!

y will it not pass emissions test, there only a bolt on, they only work when ignition module turned on, all it does is kill engine ignition, and that overflow of fuels is burnt by a spark plug at end of exhaust, how will it fail emissions!! sin one on a 1.2 nova luks good for first 5min then gets a bit boring!!

I was more thinking of the flames on the scooby, which are generally caused by the antilag. Burning neat fuel is nto enviromentally very good either way!

mate PM garybuk from here, he had one on his saxo and it made quite big flames
