C2 VTS engine

  1. #1
    Hi folks

I'm thinking of putting a C2 VTS engine in my saxo VTR, coz i can get it at a good price. just wondering if anybody has had a go at this and if they think it would be a better choice than going for a saxo VTS engine conversion

its more powerful if only marginal, and if its available for a good price, it seems sensible. not sure about it fitting though... Sure someone will be able to help you.

need a saxo vts ecu loom and throttle body or it wont work

I've got myself a spare wiring loom for a saxo VTS but not a throttle body. think i might have to fabricte some brackets for engine mounts. cheers for the info

    vts mounts will fit.

saxo inlet doesn't just bolt on either, you have to re-drill and tap new holes to get it to fit. vts mounts are fine also. the main benefit is the c2 head has bigger valves which is always handy if you plan to take the tuning further.

it has bigger valves but you can run a wild cam in them. As mr falcus has found out. Just get a saxo vts engine.

    saxo engine.

c2 engines are a cunt to get running correctly and run mental cams in.

if you must, run a c2 head on a saxo bottom end, but you will need the postons being pocketed etc....

Rite here you go, here is a scan out of performance GTI mag (Great mag IMO) from about a year ago, this show'd a group thrash between a handful of 106's, 5GTT's and Saxo's including this one which is runnin a C2 big valve head on a Saxo VTS block along with an impressive list of other bits and bobs.

Quick lookin car by the times it posted, check out the cage as well, nice

go on rep me . . . I dare you

Donson's car is a bit of a special one though, that engine was from longman's and brand new. Cost? Loads. Fantastic though

Yes, it does mid 14s, maybe a touch lower in the dry

The whole event/day was very wet, when you read it. Most of the cars had trouble layin down traction. But impressive stuff non the less. Very impressed

just a shame dodson has shite suspension and drives like agirl lol!!!

that engine is as said a custom built engine from longmans. PP charge IRC around 5.5-6k for it fitted.

the 0-60 seems a bit low aswell surely its faster than stated
  16. #16

those times dont look very good a standard vts does 0-60 in 7.7

are you all stupid??? look its fucking soaking!!!

have you tried laying on 120bhp in the wet.... no traction

imagine that with even more power and torque!
