if you have a vts, mk1 can u please tell me if ur wiring loom in the engine bay (by the fuse box) is 2 big plugs or 2 pairs of smaller plugs.

i know a vts mk T reg is 2 pairs of smaller plugs, but unsure of S,R and P reg vts!

You can't give rep, but that's besides the point. You will find that there are differences between cars of the same reg due to the build date and how long they were stocked for. Its possible that someone may have a P reg car that is newer than a T reg for example as some colours (like white!) can be held in stock for years. Good luck on this. I wasa pissing around with my 2001 cars wiring this weekend and its a pain as sensors do vary a bit randomly
