Torsion Bar

Righty ho, I've taken my car and springs (40mm) to the guy that is lowering my car today. He then starts telling me that lowering it on my torsion bar is going to damage my shocks.

He's going on about doing it by clicks, e.g 1 click = 30mm etc, yet I know this is the wrong way for it to be lowered.

Anyone have an idea on the proper way the torsion bar should be lowered 40mm without doing it by clicks? Doesn't it have to be taken out completely and then put back in somehow?

    Cheers peeps!

Correct... Taken out and then put back in at whatever height you want.

doing it by clicks or notches as its also known is abit of a bodge job, take a look at the premium members guides it'll tell you exactly how it should be done or in your case what this bloke should be doing.

he should take it fully out and measure it from arche i think to see how low the car will be thats what it says on the manuals like
